This exemption applies to providers who have either not implemented the STIR\/SHAKEN framework at all, or have chosen not to deploy it across their entire network.\n\nApplicability to PBXflex\n\nPBXflex qualifies for this exemption because:\n\nNon-implementation of STIR\/SHAKEN: PBXflex has not implemented the STIR\/SHAKEN authentication framework on any portion of its network. This decision is based on our current network architecture and the nature of our service offerings, which do not easily support the technical requirements of STIR\/SHAKEN without substantial modification.\nRobust Mitigation Program: Instead, PBXflex has established a robust robocall mitigation program that encompasses all calls originating from its network. This program is designed to identify, monitor, and mitigate illegal robocall traffic effectively. Our measures include rigorous monitoring for suspicious patterns indicative of robocalling, stringent verification of customer identities and their intended use of our services, and thorough validation of Caller ID authenticity to ensure compliance with legal standards.\nCommitment to Traceback Cooperation: In lieu of STIR\/SHAKEN, our commitment extends to full cooperation with traceback requests from regulatory bodies, law enforcement, and industry groups, responding within 24 hours to aid in the investigation and disruption of illegal robocalling operations using our network.\nBy fulfilling these criteria, PBXflex adheres to the federal mandate requiring an effective robocall mitigation strategy in lieu of STIR\/SHAKEN implementation, thus legitimizing our exemption from the STIR\/SHAKEN requirements. This strategic choice allows us to focus resources on direct mitigation efforts more suited to our service structure and customer base while still upholding our commitment to combatting robocall abuse and ensuring network integrity.","investigate_descript":""}
